10- seconds in, he makes it sound like the orchestra is "tuning up", I *like* this...
0:42... reminds me oof "ELO" the bands sound...
1:05 ... loving the "staccato" horns...
1:20... a bass ostinado thingy starts up and seems persistent... pretty cool...
overall sennse of some "majesty" feeling of some kind. This sounds "big" fr lack of a better word...
2:13... switching instruments for the staccato...
2:42... the faster light strings in staccato are cool...
okay... winding down now.
whoa. really "big" soundtrack-ish sound on this one.
this gets 2 thumbs up from siskel and ebert, heh heh... it has a "floating tension" thats really cool. Its seems like at any second, it might just explode and start going off, but it never does it. There's a general "edge of your seat" feeling to hearing it through...
if this is a work in progress, and your kicking around for ideass? Yeah, this melody and setup is really cool. I'd try to cut a minute or two out of the middle, and replace that minute or two with a relative key bridge, radically different in style/tempo/everything than the original. Its a HEAVY piece, so my wal-mart bridge would be slow and dainty and pretty...
This joint iz EPIC!!! An inspiration indeed... I'd love to hear the final cut with the vocals!
on a side note, how was it you were able to attach the soundcloud file player on your upload?

Through the magic of trial and error haha, basically i used the Flash setting in YB and took the embed player from soundclound and found the right url in it.
you can use the flash setting i use
[flash width=600 height=81] [/flash]
go into sound cloud and go to the song you want, click share and take the embed code which looks like this
<object height="81" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="https://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F35721587"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="81" src="https://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F35721587" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span>Know This by Dedtime</span>
your looking for a direct link to the song in that which would be this (obviously the one I put in bold)
<object height="81" width="100%"> <param name="movie" value="https://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F35721587"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param> <embed allowscriptaccess="always" height="81" src="https://player.soundcloud.com/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F35721587" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="100%"></embed> </object> <span>Know This by Dedtime</span>
Then you just take that link and paste it in-between the my flash code like this
Crud sed, you and your music theory, takes the fun out of it :) It's an awesome track ded, i really enjoyed it, and sed said it best, "edge of your seat, w/o going overboard." I'll stick to theory basics, intro, melody, bridge, etc. Otherwise, i'll start breaking down every bit of music i listen to, and quit enjoying the stuff i play in my truck on the way to work, lol.
